'Danica Patrick verlaat IndyCar Series voor NASCAR in 2012'

Danica Patrick verhuist definitief naar de NASCAR, zo zal later vandaag bekent worden gemaakt. De Amerikaanse coureur heeft over de afgelopen twee seizoenen al twintig races gereden in de NASCAR met als beste resultaat een vierde plaats. Vanaf volgend jaar zou ze de IndyCar Series verruilen voor de NASCAR.

GoDaddy.com, één van de grootste sponsors van Patrick, heeft over enkele uren een persconferentie gepland, waar meer duidelijk zal worden over haar toekomst. Een vertrek uit de IndyCar Series zal een aderlating zijn voor de klasse, want Patrick is al enkele malen verkozen tot de meest populaire coureur van de IndyCar.
