JR Hildebrand verlengt contract bij Panther Racing tot eind 2013

JR Hildebrand heeft een nieuwe verbintenis getekend bij Panther Racing. De Amerikaan verbond zich tot eind 2013 aan de renstal. Hildebrand eindigde dit jaar als tweede in de strijd om de titel van Rookie van het Jaar en was bijna winnaar van de Indy 500, maar hij crashte in de laatste bocht.

Ik ben zeer opgewonden dat ik ook de komende twee jaar voor Panther Racing uitkom. Het was een gek jaar voor ons, maar we hebben sterke optredens gekend en ik ben blij deel uit te maken van dit team. De samenwerking met mijn engineer verloopt uitstekend en ik weet dat iedereen druk bezig is om van 2012 een succes te maken, aldus Hildebrand.

Teamdirecteur John Barnes: Het doet ons deugd om in elk geval nog twee jaar van de diensten van JR gebruik te kunnen maken. We haalden hem vorig jaar binnen met de intentie voor een gezamenlijke toekomst en zowel in als buiten de race-auto heeft hij zich bewezen als de perfecte vertegenwoordiger van ons team.
