Sarah Fisher Racing strikt Indy Lights-kampioen Josef Newgarden

Josef Newgarden debuteert volgend jaar in de IndyCar. De 20-jarige Amerikaan won dit jaar de Indy Lights-titel en tekende een driejarig contract bij Sarah Fisher Racing. Die renstal kondigde tevens aan dat zakenman Wink Hartman zijn aandeel in het team heeft vergroot.

Newgarden: “Ten eerste wil ik iedereen bedanken voor deze mogelijkheid. Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing en ik passen perfect bij elkaar. We delen veel dezelfde kwaliteiten en waarden. Ik verheug me op de samenwerking volgend jaar. Ik weet zeker dat de chemie goed zal zijn en ik ben opgewonden om in 2012 aan de slag te gaan.”

    Als het met Maria de Villotta niks wordt bij Lotus zou ze Sarah Fisher ook eens moeten polsen.

    Kunnen Josef en Maria samen de eer van Sarah Fisher hoog houden om het maar even in kerstsferen te houden.
