Andretti redt positie van Milwaukee Mile op kalender

De Milwaukee Mile hoeft zich geen zorgen meer te maken over zijn positie op de kalender voor 2012. De race kwam vorig jaar in het geding na tegenvallende bezoekersaantallen, maar het Andretti Sports Marketing-bureau heeft de oval weten te redden.

Het bureau van Andretti, die de race zal gaan promoten, heeft ervoor gezorgd dat de Milwaukee Mile komend seizoen verreden zal worden op 15 en 16 juni. Hierdoor bevat het IndyCar-seizoen 16 races, waarvan er vijf ovals zijn.

"Het is een historisch circuit in een geweldige stad", vertelde Michael Andretti. "Mijn hele familie kwam hier altijd erg graag naar toe. Maar belangrijker is dat het een ideaal circuit is voor de IndyCar en het zorgt altijd voor geweldige races."
