Sarah Fisher Racing aan de start met Honda-motoren

Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing haalt het begin van het nieuwe IndyCar-seizoen toch. De renstal leek de eerste races te gaan missen door een gebrek aan een motorleverancier. Doordat Rahal Letterman Racing geen tweede auto op de been weet te krijgen kon Honda nog worden gestrikt.

Fisher: "We waren al sinds vorig jaar in gesprek met Honda en we zijn dolblij dat we eindelijk een akkoord hebben bereikt." Fisher had in 2010 de zoon van Bobby Rahal, Graham Rahal, onderdak gegeven nadat hij zijn plek bij Newman/Haas was kwijtgeraakt. Op deze manier doet Rahal wat terug voor Fisher. Rahal: "Sarah Fisher is geweldig en dat geldt voor iedereen bij het team. Ze hielp Graham toen hij geen programma had in 2010 en het doet me deugd dat we nu in de positie zijn om haar te helpen. We zijn teleurgesteld dat we zelf geen tweede auto in kunnen zetten, wat we voor de Indy 500 verholpen willen hebben, maar we zijn gelukkig dat Sarah Fisher Racing een heel seizoen af kan werken."
