Houston keert volgend jaar terug op IndyCar-kalender

Houston heeft zich voor 2013 verzekerd van een plek op het schema van de IndyCar. Op 6 oktober zal de Texaanse stad gastheer zijn voor de Amerikaanse raceklasse, op een stratencircuit van 2,7 kilometer lang met tien bochten.

IndyCar-baas Randy Bernard: Wanneer we kijken naar uitbreiding van onze kalender, dan is een van onze voornaamste doelen om meer te racen in grote steden, want dat is positief voor de sponsoring, de teameigenaren en het televisiepakket. Als op drie na grootste stad in Amerika past Houston perfect bij die visie van de IndyCar en Reliant Park is een geweldige locatie voor een race.
