AJ Foyt Racing beboet en bestraft na overtreding in Toronto

Het team van AJ Foyt Racing moet 15.000 dollar betalen en raakt tien punten kwijt nadat de wagen na de race in Toronto niet door de technische keuring kwam. De brandstoftank in de auto van Mike Conway bleek van onreglementair formaat te zijn.

Will Phillips, vice-president technologie bij de IndyCar-organisatie, legt uit: "We zijn van mening dat onjuiste grootte van de brandstoftank genoeg was voor een potentieel voordeel op de baan en de straf is daar een weerspiegeling van." Conway behoudt wel zijn podiumplek.
