Servia verlengt contract bij Panther Dreyer & Reinbold Racing

Oriol Servia verdedigt ook volgend seizoen de eer van Panther Dreyer & Reinbold Racing in de IndyCar. De 38-jarige Spanjaard verzamelde het afgelopen jaar 287 punten, goed voor een dertiende klassering in de eindstand. Het vizier voor 2013 is gericht op meer successen.

Servia: "We hebben een aantal mooie prestaties neergezet afgelopen seizoen, inclusief een vierde plek in de Indy 500, maar dat betekent niet dat we tevreden zijn. Ons doel is om te winnen en elke race een gooi te doen naar de zege, of op zijn minst het podium. Continuïteit is belangrijk in de autosport en dit stelt ons in staat om in het tweede jaar voort te borduren op de ingezette lijn."

Mede-teameigenaar Dennis Reinbold: "Als organisatie hebben we hard gewerkt om een getalenteerde coureur in te huren die karakterologisch zowel op als naast de baan bij onze renstal past. We kunnen ons geen betere rijder dan Oriol wensen. We zijn ook benieuwd om te zien hoe onze investeringen op gebied van techniek en engineering zich in 2013 uit gaan betalen."
