Firestone tot en met 2018 bandenleverancier voor IndyCar

De IndyCar Series en bandenleverancier Firestone hebben een nieuwe overeenkomst gesloten. Het Amerikaanse bandenmerk van Bridgestone blijft in elk geval tot en met 2018 aan de raceklasse verbonden. Firestone is al sinds 1996 een vaste partner van de IndyCar.

Al Speyer, directeur bij Firestone Racing: "De performance en veiligheid van Firestone staan al meer dan honderd jaar synoniem aan IndyCar-racen. Het doet ons deugd om bij te dragen aan de verdere groei van deze serie, tenminste tot en met 2018. We koesteren de goede band die we met deze klasse, de teams, de coureurs en de eigenaren hebben opgebouwd. We kijken ernaar uit om het erfgoed van kwaliteit waar Firestone bekend om staat een vervolg te geven."
