Schmidt op de Franse toer met Vautier naast Pagenaud

Het team van Schmidt Peterson Motorsports laat Tristan Vautier komend seizoen debuteren in de IndyCar Series. Vautier won vorig jaar het Indy Lights-kampioenschap voor Sam Schmidt Motorsports. De 23-jarige Fransman vergezelt bij Schmidt Peterson Motorsports landgenoot Simon Pagenaud.

"Ik ga mijn stinkende best doen. Geen druk, toch? Het is een grote stap en ik probeer zo snel mogelijk te leren, want er zal van alles op me af komen. Ik verheug me op de samenwerking met Simon en mijn engineer Allan McDonald. Ze hebben zoveel ervaring. Het team heeft veel middelen en het is mooi om binnen deze renstal te promoveren. Ik hoop maar dat Sam twee Fransen aan kan. Vorig jaar was het nog verdeeld over de Indy Lights en de IndyCar, nu hebben ze ons bij elkaar gezet. Als dat maar goed gaat...", knipoogt Vautier.
