Conor Daly bemachtigt zitje bij AJ Foyt voor Indy 500

AJ Foyt Racing schrijft naast Takuma Sato ook Conor Daly in voor de Indy 500. Daly, een 21-jarige Amerikaan, verschijnt op 26 mei voor het eerst aan de start van het roemruchte evenement op de Indianapolis Motor Speed Way. Hij dient zich uiteraard nog wel eerst te kwalificeren.

Daly: "Ik kan niet beschrijven hoe het voelt om de kans de krijgen deel te nemen aan de Indy 500. Ik ben AJ en Larry Foyt zo dankbaar dat ze mij in de gelegenheid stellen om mee te doen aan de mooiste race ter wereld. Dit klinkt misschien afgezaagd, maar ik ben nog nooit zo gelukkig geweest. Dit betekent heel veel voor me."
