Panther ontdoet zich van Hildebrand en kiest voor Briscoe

Het contract van JR Hildebrand bij Panther Racing is ontbonden. De Amerikaan, die vroeg in de Indy 500 crashte, is voor dit weekend in Detroit vervangen door Ryan Briscoe. Wie de rest van het jaar de wagen van Panther Racing bemant, staat nog niet vast.

Briscoe: "Ik ben enorm opgewonden over mijn terugkeer in de IndyCar bij Panther en om de National Guard-Chevrolet dit weekend te besturen. Ik heb het vaak tegen dit team opgenomen op de baan en het is mooi dat ik nu de mogelijkheid krijg om met John Barnes en de mensen van Panther te werken. Ik ben vol vertrouwen dat we er meteen zullen staan en in Detroit vliegend van start gaan samen."
