Mann en Servia verzekeren zich van stoeltje voor Texas

Pippa Mann en Oriol Servia staan dit weekend aan de start van de Firestone 550 op de Texas Motor Speedway. Mann stapt in de nummer 18 van Dale Coyne Racing en Servia lost Ryan Briscoe af in de nummer 4 van Panther Racing met National Guard-sponsoring.

Mann: "Bij de Indy 500 was de wagen geweldig en ik kijk ernaar uit om zaterdagavond bij kunstlicht een mooi resultaat in de wacht te slepen in Texas. Het is opwindend om in de bolide te kruipen waarmee Mike Conway in Detroit de races als eerste en derde finishte."

Servia: "Ik ben zeer in mijn nopjes met deze kans. Ten eerste is het werk, maar het is bij een team waar ik vorig jaar al nauw mee samengewerkt heb. Niet alleen ken ik alle leden van dit team, maar ik ben ook bekend met de de potentie van de auto. Dat geeft ons de mogelijkheid om te winnen."
