Ryan Hunter-Reay opnieuw de beste in Milwaukee

Ryan Hunter-Reay heeft net als vorig jaar de race in Milwaukee op zijn naam geschreven. De regerend IndyCar-kampioen nam in ronde 198 van de 250 de leiding over van Takuma Sato en gaf die vervolgens niet meer uit handen.

Helio Castroneves eindigde op bijna vijf seconden als tweede, Will Power verzekerde zich met P3 van zijn eerste podiumplek van dit seizoen. EJ Viso en James Hinchcliffe completeren de top vijf. Marco Andretti vertrok van pole, maar elektronische problemen verhinderden een goed resultaat voor hem.

In de tussenstand is Hunter-Reay de leider Castroneves tot op zestien punten genaderd, met 283 om 299 punten. Andretti staat ondanks het mindere resultaat nog altijd derde en is de enige in de top vier zonder zege achter zijn naam in 2013.
