Dixon bestormt de koppositie met twee zeges in Toronto

Scott Dixon behaalde de perfecte score in Toronto. De Nieuw-Zeelander van Chip Ganassi boekte in een week tijd drie overwinningen. Na de zege op de Pocono Raceway schreef hij ook in Toronto beide races op zijn naam. Hij maakt daardoor een grote sprong in het kampioenschap.

Dixon staat daarin nu tweede, achter Helio Castroneves. De Braziliaan heeft twee keer minder gewonnen dan Dixon dit jaar, maar scoort wel constant veel punten. Sebastien Bourdais had in Toronto ook weer eens reden om te lachen, hij mocht na beide wedstrijden het podium beklimmen.
