Dale Coyne gunt Davison zijn debuut in Mid-Ohio

James Davison debuteert volgende week in de IndyCar. De 26-jarige coureur bestuurt in Mid-Ohio op 4 augustus de auto met startnummer 18 van Dale Coyne Racing. De tweede wagen van dat team is als een duiventil. Davison is na Ana Beatriz, Mike Conway en Pippa Mann de vierde om in die auto te kruipen.

De Australiër verheugt zich op zijn eerste IndyCar-race. "Het is een ongelooflijk gevoel dat ik mijn droom eindelijk kan realiseren na vier jaar van tegenslag aan de zijlijn. Ik kan Dale Coyne Racing en mijn partners niet genoeg bedanken. Ik zal snel veel moeten opsteken, maar dat hoort bij de uitdaging van het opnemen tegen de beste teams en coureurs in de wereld van de IndyCar. Ik ga mijn uiterste best doen om een mooi resultaat te behalen in mijn eerste weekend."
