IndyCar en titelsponsor IZOD na dit jaar uit elkaar

De IndyCar moet op zoek naar een nieuwe titelsponsor. IZOD, dat sinds 2010 haar naam verbond aan de Amerikaanse raceklasse, vindt het wel mooi geweest en zet de sponsoring na dit jaar stop. De producent van sportieve kleding was al sinds 2008 partner van de IndyCar.

Mark Miles, directeur bij IndyCar-moederbedrijf Hulman & Co: "We zijn trots op de samenwerking met IZOD en we zijn ze dankbaar voor alle steun, creativiteit en visie. Maar omstandigheden veranderen en we gaan nu nieuwe connecties proberen te leggen met firma's die zich willen verbinden aan onze snelle en veelzijdige vorm van racen."
