Hinchliffe verbindt zich voor 2014 aan Andretti

James Hinchcliffe racet ook volgend jaar voor het team van Andretti Autosport. De Canadees was de afgelopen twee seizoenen actief voor de renstal van Michael Andretti en won in 2013 drie maal. Hij zal samen met Marco Andretti en Ryan Hunter-Reay de eer van Andretti Autosport verdedigen.

Hinchcliffe: "Het is geweldig dat ik ook in 2014 voor Andretti Autosport uit mag komen. Het is al twee jaar als een thuis voor mij. We hebben het vaak over chemie en het is mooi dat we dat intact houden. Ik denk dat we samen tot veel in staat zijn en ik zet met plezier de samenwerking met Michael, Marco en Ryan voort."

Andretti Autosport had ook op ander vlak nieuws. De renstal stapt voor volgend seizoen over op Honda-motoren. De afgelopen twee jaar reed het team met Chevrolet-krachtbronnen. "We kijken uit naar de hereniging met Honda, het voelt nu al vertrouwd. Ik weet zeker dat we samen successen gaan boeken", aldus Michael Andretti.
