FIA presenteert kalender voor volgend seizoen

De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft de kalender voor het World Endurance Championship-seizoen 2015 onthuld. Op het schema staan acht ontmoetingen, waaronder natuurlijk de 24 uur van Le Mans. De Nürburgring is een nieuwe toevoeging. Sao Paulo valt door werkzaamheden af.

WEC-directeur Gerard Neveu: "De kalender vertegenwoordigt continuïteit en stabiliteit. We zijn opgewonden over ons bezoek aan de Nürburgring voor de eerste FIA WEC-race in Duitsland, een thuisrace voor Audi en Porsche. Het circuit in de Duitse Eifel heeft een rijke geschiedenis met lange afstands-races, denk aan de 1000 kilometer van de Nürburgring. In het nieuwe schema hebben we de zomerpauze verkleind en hebben we gemiddeld één race per maand."

13-14 juni - De 24 uur van Le Mans
30 augustus - De 6 uur van de Nürburgring
19 september - De 6 uur van het Circuit of the Americas

1 november - De 6 uur van Sjanghai
21 november - De 6 uur van Bahrein
