LM24: Elfde uur Porsche leidt en weet de voorsprong te vergroten

De Porsche met nummer 18 schiet op nagenoeg dezelfde plek als de eerste keer hard rechtdoor. Het lijkt erop dat in ieder geval deze Porsche een serieus remprobleem heeft. Zou dit de andere Porsche's parten kunnen gaan spelen? Neel Jani moet uit de grindbak getrokken worden, maar kan na een korte pitstop zijn weg weer vervolgen.

De nummer 31 van het ESM - Ligier team rijdt rond zonder verlichting, de auto is op hoge snelheid uitgebroken en heeft de vangrail geraakt. Op eigen kracht weet de auto terug te keren naar de pits, met in ieder geval een lekke achterband maar misschien zelfs een probleem met de ophanging. Dat laatste lijkt niet het geval, want in nog geen 6 minuten heeft het team de auto weer naar buiten gestuurd.

Momenteel zijn de Porsche's zo'n twee seconden per rondje sneller dan de Audi's. Daarmee wordt het gat groter en weet Porsche de voorsprong uit te breiden. de nummer 17 weet zijn achterstand te verkleinen al is deze met 1 minuut en 31 seconden nog steeds aanzienlijk.

De Nederlanders: Jeroen Bleekemolen is opgeschoven naar de vijfde plaats in zijn klasse, Xavier Maassen is nog steeds elfde en Ho-Pin Tung is nog dertiende.
