Porsche minstens tot en met 2018 in LMP1

Porsche heeft aangekondigd het LMP1-programma in het World Endurance Championship minstens tot en met 2018 voort te zetten. Het Duitse merk keerde vorig jaar terug in het lange afstands-racen en schreef dit seizoen alweer de 24 uur van Le Mans op zijn naam.

Porsche-voorzitter Matthias Müller: "Autosport is een belangrijk bestandsdeel van de identiteit van Porsche, maar niet een doel op zich. Het racen moet wel in het teken staan van technologie waar we ook voor de straatauto's de vruchten van kunnen plukken. De revolutionaire reglementen met betrekking tot efficiëntie verleidden ons voor 2014 tot een terugkeer naar Le Mans."

"Dat we in ons tweede jaar er al in geslaagd zijn om de kroonjuweel onder de races op onze naam te schrijven met onze innovatieve en complexe 919 Hybrid is een eerbetoon aan de research & development-afdeling in Weissach waard. We zien potentie voor een verdere synergie tussen ons race-project en de productie-auto's, daarom hebben we besloten het programma te verlengen."

      Ze hebben een aantal mooie namen om het eventueel mee te doen..
      Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi, Bugatti..

      Ja idd vag heeft een paar mooie merken . Ik zelf zou dan Audi kiezen . Porsche en Bugatti hebben het niet nodig Lamborghini is mijn nr2 zou grappig zijn als ze sneller zijn maar de schade ook groot wanneer niet dan heb je Audi ze hebben het merk toch mooi premium kunnen krijgen gewonnen watber te winnen viel in wec hoeveel reclame zou het geven als ze dan ook F1 kampen zijn lukt het niet zou het Audi geen schade doen .

    Sorry dat ik er een potje van gemaakt heb . Spelling is al niet mijn sterkste kant moet ik ook nog met mijn dikke vingers spatie niet goed gebruiken op mijn telefoon of letters als spatie gebruiken :S

    Dit is het mooie aspect van het WEC, reglementen zijn veel meer gericht op bruikbare technologieën die ook gebruikt kunnen worden in straatauto's. Tevens vind ik het mooi om te dat een relatieve nieuwkommer in de serie snel kan mee doen om de overwinningen.

    F1 zou een te groot risico zijn en welke elementen kunnen ze nu toevoegen aan de straatauto's die ze in het WEC voor veel minder inschrijf-, transportgeld ed kunnen uitproberen?
