Dunlop zorgt voor bandenoorlog in LMP1

Voor het eerst sinds 2012 is er dit jaar sprake van competitie tussen verschillende bandenleveranciers in de LMP1-klasse van het World Endurance Championship. Michelin krijgt vanaf komend seizoen tegenstand van Dunlop.

Rebellion Racing heeft uitvoerig met Dunlop getest en is ervan overtuigd dat de firma competitieve banden zal leveren. Het Zwitserse team groeit uit tot officiële LMP1-ontwikkelingspartner voor Dunlop en samen willen ze het de fabrieksteams moeilijk gaan maken.

Teammanager Bart Hayden: "We zijn verguld om Dunlop als bandenpartner voor Rebellion Racing aan te kondigen en we zijn opgewonden om met een merk van deze statuur samen te werken. We kijken ervaar uit om een lange en succesvolle alliantie met Dunlop te smeden."
