Technisch directeur stapt op bij Porsche

De LMP1-afdeling van Porsche is gedwongen om de organisatie te herstructureren. Technisch directeur Alexander Hitzinger heeft de leiding te kennen gegeven dat hij eind deze maand vertrekt om een uitdaging buiten de autosport aan te gaan. Zijn opvolger is nog niet bekend.

Fritz Enzinger, vice-president LMP1 bij Porsche: "Namens Porsche wil ik Alexander enorm bedanken voor zijn waardevolle bijdrage aan het succes van de 919 Hybrid. Hij was een van de eersten die zich in 2011 aan dit project verbonden. Ik kan zijn wens voor een nieuwe uitdaging wel waarderen. Wij zijn goed voorbereid op het nieuwe seizoen. Binnen ons team, bestaande uit 260 werknemers, beschikken we over een sterke groep engineers. De 919 Hybrid is klaar voor 2016!"
