Engineer Schuivens treedt in dienst bij Audi

Erik Schuivens gaat aan de slag bij het LMP1-team van Audi in het World Endurance Championship. De Nederlander, vorig jaar nog werkzaam voor Sauber, volgt Leena Gade op als race-engineer van de auto met startnummer 7, bemand door André Lotterer, Marcel Fassler en Benoit Treluyer.

Gade verhuist na de 24 uur van Le Mans naar Bentley. Een woordvoerder van Audi bevestigde aan Sportscar365 dat Schuivens reeds is vastgelegd als vervanger. Hij loopt dit weekend bij de 6 uur van Le Mans al mee, zodat Gade hem alvast in kan werken.
