Porsche snelste op eerste dag voorbereidingstest 24 uur van Le Mans

Het team van Porsche heeft de eerste dag van de voorbereidingstest op de 24 uur van Le Mans als snelste afgesloten. Neel Jani reed de snelste tijd met een 03:22:334, Mark Webber reed in de andere Porsche de tweede tijd met een 03:22:555. Marcel Fassler was de snelste Audi op plek drie met een 03:22:761.

De voorbereidingen op de 24 uur van Le Mans zijn met de test officieel begonnen vandaag. De test geeft de teams en coureurs de gelegenheid zich optimaal voorbereiden op de belangrijkste langeafstandsrace van het jaar. De 24 uur van Le Mans wordt dit jaar in het weekend van 18 en 19 juni gehouden.

Achter de beide Porsches en de Audi van Fassler wordt de top zes compleet gemaakt door Loic Duval (Audi) en de beide Toyota's met achter het stuur Anthony Davidson en Kamui Kobayashi. De beide Toyota's bleven tijdens de test binnen een seconde van de snelste man.

Wat na de eerste testdag al wel duidelijk is, is dat de LMP1-bolides langzamer zijn dan vorig jaar. Dit heeft te maken met verdere beperkingen ten aanzien van het brandstofverbruik.
