Porsche bevestigt komst Gianmaria Bruni

Gianmaria Bruni maakt definitief de overstap van Ferrari naar Porsche, zo hebben de coureur en de Duitse autofabrikant aangekondigd. De 35-jarige Italiaan mist daardoor wel de 24 uur van Le Mans dit jaar. Bruni mag vanaf juni gaan testen voor Porsche en zal vanaf juli in de Verenigde Staten racen voor het merk.

Hij was in 2012 en 2014 de beste in de GTE Pro-klasse in de 24 uur van Le Mans. Porsche ziet hem als vaandeldrager voor de GT's voor de komende jaren. Motorsportbaas Frank-Steffen Walliser: "We zijn verguld om Gianmaria Bruni, een van de beste GT-coureurs ter wereld, te verwelkomen in ons team. Hij past perfect in onze sterke groep van fabrieksrijders en hij voegt zich voor de tweede helft van dit seizoen bij Porsche."
