Nyck de Vries loopt blauwtje bij AF Corse

AF Corse, het GT-team van Ferrari in het World Endurance Championship, heeft besloten om Nyck de Vries niet aan te stellen als vervanger van de naar Porsche vertrokken Gianmaria Bruni. De renstal gaf de voorkeur aan Alessandro Pier Guidi.

De Vries en Pier Guidi behoorden tot een viertal die begin deze maand een shootout-test op Vallelunga deelnamen. Miguel Molina en Alex Riberas waren de andere twee. Na afloop van die test gingen geluiden op dat AF Corse onder de indruk was van De Vries, hoewel Molina als favoriet voor het stoeltje gold. De keuze is echter toch gevallen op Pier Guidi.

    Maar goed, zonder meer te weten op basis waarvan de beslissing is genomen, valt er weinig over te zeggen.

    Dus ook hier geen keuze voor de toekomst. Anders hadden ze geen ouwe lul aangesteld. Ervaring boven talent.

    Hoe zit in het opleidings team van Mclaren en gaat dan bij een Ferrari Fabrieksteam een stoeltje in de GT's zien te bemachtigen?

      Honda is wat er mis is voor Nyck. Die willen per sé hun talenten via Mclaren door laten stromen: Japan First, Netherlands second. En aangezien Nyck ondanks dat niet gedropt is moet hij ergens anders onderdak vinden. Dat geshop is idd niet goed voor je CV

    Volgens "een andere site" is het niet uitgesloten dat de Vries en Molina nog een kans maken op een zitje bij een van de klantenteams van Ferrari. Hopelijk is dat meer dan een gerucht.
