Kanaan namens Ford naar 24 uur van Le Mans

Tony Kanaan zal over dik twee weken aan de start verschijnen bij de 24 uur van Le Mans. De Braziliaan neemt bij Ford de honneurs waar voor de geblesseerde Sebastian Bourdais, die gewond raakte bij een crash tijdens de eerste kwalificatie voor de Indy 500.

Kanaan: "Het is een eer om onderdeel uit te maken van de line-up van Ford Chip Ganassi Racing voor de 24 uur van Le Mans. Deze situatie is natuurlijk door spijtige omstandigheden ontstaan, met de verwondingen voor Sebastien. Ik ga mijn best doen om hem waardig te vervangen en Ford opnieuw de winst te bezorgen in deze geweldige race. Dit evenement staat al langere tijd op mijn bucket list, dus ik ben Chip en Ford dankbaar voor deze kans."
