Porsche had dit weekend een nieuw aerodynamica-pakket voor de LMP1-auto en dat pakte boven verwachting goed uit. Het Duitse merk moest de pole position voor de 6 uur van de Nürburgring nog aan concurrent Toyota laten, maar in de uitslag was het Porsche op P1 en P2.
