De 24 uur van Le Mans is uitgesteld en verplaatst naar september 2020. Dat heeft de organisatie zojuist bekend gemaakt. Voor het eerst in het 52-jarig bestaan zal de langste autosportrace ter wereld niet gereden worden in juni maar op 19 en 20 september.

Dat maakte de organisatie aan het einde van de middag bekend. Daarnaast gaat sowieso de hele WEC-kalender op de schop, zo is bekend gemaakt. De WEC-races op Spa-Francorchamps en Sebring waren ook al geschrapt door het coronavirus.
