Een week geleden was de openingsrace in het World Endurance Championship op het historische, maar vooral hobbelige Sebring. De wedstrijd werd gewonnen door het team van Alpine Elf Team voor Toyota Gazoo Racing en Glickhaus Racing.

Tijdens de kwalifcatie reden de coureurs onder bijzondere omstandigheden. In de vroege morgen, bij zonsopgang, moesten de piloten direct aan de bak en dat leverde mooie plaatjes op.
