Lamborghini komt met meer informatie over Hypercar-project

Liefhebbers van de langeafstandracerij kunnen hun hart de komende jaren ophalen in het World Endurance Championship. Sinds men daar werkt met de nieuwe Hypercar-regels zeggen steeds meer teams hun deelname toe aan het kampioenschap waarvan ook de iconische 24 uur van Le Mans onderdeel van is.

Ook Lamborghini liet al eerder weten dat ze vanaf 2024 gaan meedoen aan het WEC. De Italiaanse constructeur gaat dat doen in samenwerking met Squarda Corse en zal een wagen bouwen volgens de LMDH-regels. Gisteren kwamen ze met meer duidelijkheid naar buiten over hun uitdager. Ze maakten namelijk bekend dat hun Hypercar wordt aangedreven door een V8 Twin Turbo. In 2024 neemt Lamborghini het op tegen over andere Ferrari, Toyota, Peugeot, Porsche en BMW.
