Alpine komt met belangrijk nieuws over Hypercar-project

Het team van Alpine is niet alleen actief in de Formule 1, maar ook in het World Endurance Championship. Dit jaar rijdt het team in de LMP2-klasse, maar volgend seizoen komen ze in actie met een Hypercar. Alpine kondigde het Hypercar-programma al eerder aan en komt nu met meer nieuws over dit project.

Alpine heeft namelijk aangekondigd wanneer ze het doek gaan trekken van hun nieuwe uitdager. Op sociale media deelt het team de eerste geheimzinnige foto van de wagen en onthullen ze dat ze de wagen op 9 juni aan de buitenwereld wordt getoond. Deze onthulling vindt dus plaats aan de vooravond van de 24 uur van Le Mans. Alpine treedt volgend seizoen toe tot de Hypercar-klasse van het WEC, ook BMW en Lamborghini gaan vanaf volgend jaar deelnemen aan het wereldkampioenschap.
