Audi trekt ook in Sao Paulo aan het langste eind

Audi heeft weer een overwinning in het World Endurance Championship bij kunnen schrijven. Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer en Benoit Treluyer finishten voor merkgenoten Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen en Loic Duval. Veel tegenstand was er ook niet op Interlagos.

De LMP1-klasse was in Brazilië karig bezet, met verder één Toyota en één Rebellion Racing. De Toyota viel al na 35 minuten in de 6 uur van Sao Paulo uit na een botsing met een Lotus. Daar profiteerden Nick Heidfeld, Nicolas Prost en Mathias Breche namens Rebellion Racing van en zij belandden op het podium.

Bij de LMP2 was het de Oreca-Nissan van Roman Rusinov, John Martin en Mike Conway die met de winst aan de haal ging. Gianmaria Bruni en Giancarlo Fisichella wonnen in de Ferrari de LM GTE Pro-klasse. De LM GTE Amateur-klasse viel ten prooi aan Stuart Hall en Jamie Campbell-Walter in de Aston Martin.
