Van der Garde sterk in Portugal met twee vierde plekken

Giedo van der Garde heeft een vrij succesvol weekend in de World Series by Renault achter de rug. Op het Portugese circuit van Estoril reed de Nederlander zich knap naar twee vierde plekken. Hij kwam jammer genoeg in beide races net iets te kort om op het podium te eindigen.

Miguel Molina mocht na race 1 wel naar het podium, hij won zijn allereerste race in de World Series by Renault. Achter hem eindigden Julien Jousse en Alvaro Barba als tweede en derde. Race 2 werd gewonnen door Milos Pavlovic, gevolgd door Clivio Piccione en Fairuz Fauzy.
