Jaime Alguersuari vindt onderdak bij Carlin Motorsport

Jaime Alguersuari komt komend seizoen uit in de World Series by Renault. De 18-jarige Spanjaard won in 2008 de Britse Formule 3-titel en verkiest nu een stap naar de klasse waarin Giedo van der Garde vorig jaar kampioen werd boven directe promotie naar de GP2.

Alguersuari: Deelnemen in deze serie is een mooie uitdaging voor me. Als Heikki Kovalainen, Robert Kubica en Sebastian Vettel hier vandaan de Formule 1 kunnen halen, waarom zou ik dat dan niet kunnen? Het doet me goed dat ik bij Carlin Motorsport blijf, het is een professioneel team en ik voel me hier op mijn gemak.

Teambaas Trevor Carlin: Jaime toont al sinds zijn vijftiende aan dat hij een groot talent is. In alle klasses waarin hij meedeed, heeft hij races gewonnen en ik weet zeker dat hij een titelkandidaat voor de World Series by Renault gaat zijn.
