Draco hevelt Ghiotto over naar Formule Renault 3.5

Luca Ghiotto debuteert dit jaar in de Formule Renault 3.5 van de World Series by Renault. De 18-jarige Italiaan was vorig jaar actief in het voorprogramma, in de Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup. Daarin legde hij beslag op de negende plek in de eindstand en hij won een race in Spa-Francorchamps.

Ghiotto vergezelt de eerder bevestigde Pietro Fantin bij Draco. Teambaas Guto Negrao: "Ons team is Braziliaans, maar ons hoofdkwartier staat in Italië en het merendeel van ons personeel is Italiaans. Dat beide nationaliteiten in onze line-up vertegenwoordigd zijn maakt ons trots. Het past perfect bij de ziel van onze renstal. Ik ben blij met onze rijdersbezetting. Fantin kan voortborduren op zijn ervaring van vorig jaar en voor Ghiotto is gestage progressie in zijn eerste seizoen het doel."
