Van der Garde domineert testdag op Spa-Francorchamps

Giedo van der Garde is momenteel de te kloppen man in de World Series by Renault. De Nederlander won afgelopen weekend de eerste twee races van het nieuwe seizoen en heeft die snelheid vastgehouden voor deze week. De coureur van P1 Motorsport stond na een testdag op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps, waar komend weekend de volgende races gehouden worden, weer bovenaan.

Van der Garde is in blakende vorm, maar loopt liever niet vooruit op het winnen van de titel. Nee, daar houd ik me echt niet mee bezig. Daar is het nog veel te vroeg voor. Monza was fantastisch en hopelijk kunnen we datzelfde kunstje herhalen in België. Verder dan dat denk ik op dit moment nog niet. In Monza hadden we een geweldige set-up en daarom liep het ook zo goed. Het is nu aan ons om ook hier de auto weer perfect af te stellen en weer zoveel mogelijk punten binnen te halen.

Een race winnen doe je echter niet zomaar. Je moet natuurlijk een beetje geluk hebben, maar je moet ook zorgen dat je vooraan staat, dat alles klopt en je moet uiteraard geen fouten maken. Voor mijzelf en voor de rest van het veld geldt: nieuwe ronde, nieuwe kansen. Ik ga mijn uiterste best doen om weer net zon mooi resultaat te behalen als in Monza.
