Miguel Molina snelste op de Nurburgring

Tijdens de eerste gezamenlijke test van de Renault World Series op de Nurburgring heeft Miguel Molina van Prema Powerteam de snelste tijd gereden. Mikhail Aleshin tekent voor de tweede tijd, gevolgd door Fabio Carbone. De Fransman, winnaar van de vorige race op de Hungaroring, hoopt met een goed resultaat in te lopen op Julien Jousse voor de tweede plek in het kampioenschap.

Giedo van der Garde (zie foto) eindigt de test als achtste. De leider in het kampioenschap heeft een gigantische voorsprong van 41 punten op de nummer twee, Julien Jousse. Jousse eindigt de test in het middenveld, op de vijftiende plek.

Nieuwkomer Siso Cunill doet goede zaken. De 17-jarige komt uit de Formule Renault en rijdt in de KTR naar een 23e tijd. Draco Racings Marco Barba eindigt op afstand helemaal onderaan de tijdenlijst. Barba komt een schokkende 5,5 seconde tekort op zijn teamgenoot, Bertrand Baguette die elfde staat.
