Van der Zande test vrijdag met World Series-auto

Renger van Der Zande komt vrijdag in actie met een World Series by Renault-auto. Zijn werkgever in de Formule 3 Euroseries, het Prema Powerteam, heeft ook een team in de klasse waarin Giedo van der Garde dit jaar kampioen werd en heeft Van der Zande om hulp gevraagd om de auto te verbeteren. De test vindt plaats op het circuit van Paul Ricard.

Dit is weer een mooie gelegenheid om met een snelle auto te rijden. Ik vind het erg leuk dat Prema me hiervoor heeft gevraagd en ik zal mijn uiterste best doen om het team verder te helpen met de set-up van de auto. Het is voor mij niet de eerste keer dat ik in de World Series by Renault-test, maar het is wel de eerste keer dat ik met de nieuwe wagen in actie zal komen. Ik hoop er een goede tijd mee te kunnen rijden op Paul Ricard, een circuit dat ik inmiddels wel redelijk goed ken door al mijn testklussen. Ik heb er dus erg veel zin in!

Bovendien is deze test voor mij ook een prima voorbereiding op mijn eerste race in de GP2 Asia Series, volgende maand in Dubai. Die wagens hebben namelijk ongeveer hetzelfde vermogen als een World Series by Renault-auto, aldus Van der Zande.
