Sirotkin snoept eerste plek van Gasly af

Sergey Sirotkin heeft in de eerste vrije training voor de World Series by Renault op Spa-Franchorchamps beslag gelegd op de eerste positie. De Rus deed dat op het allerlaatste moment. In zijn laatste ronde, na het vallen van de vlag, snoepte hij P1 van Pierre Gasly af.

Sirotkin was uiteindelijk 0,440 seconde sneller dan Gasly. Carlos Sainz junior, Marlon Stockinger en Pietro Fantin vullen de top vijf op. Meindert van Buuren nestelde zich op de tiende plek. Beitske Visster kwam niet verder dan de achttiende tijd in een veld met twintig auto's.

dus niet ongetalenteerd deze jongeling. Echter wel de beste weg om dat eerst in de opstapklasses te bewijzen. Dan stapt hij ook veel zelfverzekerder in de F1 tegen de tijd dat hij er rijp voor is.
