Sirotkin trekt goede lijn door op de Nürburgring

Sergey Sirotkin won twee weken geleden voor eigen publiek op de Moscow Raceway voor het eerst een race in de World Series by Renault. Die sterke vorm heeft hij nog steeds te pakken, getuige zijn snelste tijd in de eerste vrije training op de Nürburgring.

Oliver Rowland en Marco Sorensen completeren de top drie. Kampioenschapleider Carlos Sainz junior bezet de vijfde positie. Meindert van Buuren zakte in de slotfase van de twaalfde positie naar P17. Daarmee eindigde hij een plaatsje hoger dan Beitske Visser.
