Tech 1 contracteert Aurélien Panis

Tech 1 Racing heeft Aurélien Panis vastgelegd voor het komende seizoen in de Formule Renault 3.5 van de World Series by Renault. Aurélien Panis is de 20-jarige zoon van oud Formule 1-coureur Olivier Panis, die in 1996 in Monaco zijn enige Grand Prix won.

Aurélien Panis kwam de afgelopen twee seizoen uit in de Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup. "Dit is een belangrijke doorbraak in mijn loopbaan en ik ben vastberaden om deze mogelijkheid met beide handen aan te grijpen. Ik ben blij met het vertrouwen dat Tech 1 Racing in mij stelt en ik kan niet wachten totdat het seizoen in de World Series by Renault begint. Ik wil de partners die me vergezellen bij dit nieuwe avontuur alvast bedanken."

Werd 9e in het FR 2.0 in 2014 met het team van ART!!! En hij sleept nu een contract bij een topteam als Tech1 uit het vuur in het WSR? Wellicht nog een jaar FR2.0, GP3 of F3 zou naar mijn mening beter voor hem zijn.
