Tio Ellinas tekent contract bij Strakka Racing

GP3-coureur Tio Ellinas komt in 2015 uit in de Formule Renault 3.5. De Cyprioot heeft een contract getekend bij Strakka Racing en wordt daar teamgenoot van rookie Gustav Malja. De coureur testte vorig jaar al voor het team.

Ellinas: "Strakka is het complete pakket met de beste ondersteuning en het beste materiaal op en naast de baan. De samenwerking tijdens de test vorig jaar was erg goed en het was duidelijk dat Strakka een snelle auto heeft."

Ook het team is blij met de komst van de Cyprioot: "Met Tio hebben we een fantastische rijder met natuurlijk talent en de vaardigheid om hard te werken en leren. Met hem onder onze hoede hebben wij de mogelijkheid zijn potentieel vrij te laten. Tio geeft ons een geweldige line-up en wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat we dit jaar hoger eindigen dan afgelopen jaar (zesde plaats)."
