Tunjo en Pons beëindigen samenwerking voor 2015

Oscar Tunjo rijdt in 2015 toch niet voor Pons in de Formule Renault 3.5-klasse. De Colombiaan tekende begin 2014 een contract dat hem voor twee seizoenen aan de Spaanse renstal verbond, maar nu heeft de coureur samen met het team besloten om toch niet met elkaar verder te gaan in 2015.

In een statement bevestigt het team dat de samenwerking is beëindigd. "Pons Racing en Oscar Tunjo hebben samen besloten om de samenwerking te beëindigen. De Colombiaanse rijder was genoodzaakt om zijn plannen te herzien vanwege budgettaire problemen."

Door het wegvallen van Tunjo heeft Pons nog twee vacante stoeltjes voor komend seizoen.
