Van Buuren afwezig in Hongarije

De eerste vrije training voor de Formule Renault 3.5 voor het World Series by Renault-weekend op de Hungaroring heeft zich voltrokken zonder Meindert van Buuren. De Nederlander heeft zijn plek bij Lotus af moeten staan aan Alex Albon.

Het is nog niet duidelijk of het alleen voor de eerste oefensessie was of voor het hele weekend. Italiaracing denkt dat Van Buuren dit weekend niet in actie zal komen. Albon zette in de training in Hongarije de vierde tijd neer.

Teamgenoot Matthieu Vaxiviere was de snelste met een 1:31.232. Nyck de Vries sloot de sessie af op een zevende positie, op zes tienden van de beste tijd. Beitske Visser legde met een 1:32.163 beslag op de elfde plaats.
