Nigel Melker test donderdag en vrijdag voor Lotus

Nigel Melker geeft morgen en overmorgen een vervolg aan zijn eenmalige optreden in de World Series by Renault van afgelopen seizoen. De Nederlander komt twee dagen in actie voor het team van Lotus bij een privé-test in Barcelona.

Melker racete voor Lotus op Silverstone in de World Series by Renault en koerste in zijn debuut prompt naar een podiumplek. De Nederlander doet de test alleen om de renstal te helpen bij de ontwikkeling. Hij heeft reeds besloten om ook in 2013 in de GP2 te rijden. Voor welk team is nog onduidelijk. Melker testte vorige maand voor DAMS en Racing Engineering. Dit jaar scoorde hij als rookie namens Ocean Racing Technology 25 punten in de GP2.
