Felix da Costa voert veld aan bij test in Barcelona

Antonio Felix da Costa is de laatste test ter voorbereiding op het nieuwe World Series by Renault-seizoen sterk begonnen. De Portugees was met een 1:28.935 de enige onder de 1:29 op de eerste dag. Die tijd was goed voor een nieuw Formule Renault 3.5-ronderecord op het Circuit de Catalunya.

Felix da Costa: "Het is geweldig om de dag zo te eindigen. De auto was een beetje uit balans aan het begin, maar we hebben goed werk geleverd om ons te herpakken. Ik kan niet wachten op de tweede testdag, vandaag proberen we diverse nieuwe set-ups uit."

Achter Felix da Costa legde Kevin Magnussen beslag op P2 met een 1:29.002. Marco Sorensen completeerde de top drie, voor Will Stevens. Stoffel Vandoorne, de opvolger van kampioen Robin Frijns bij Fortec, noteerde de vijfde tijd met een 1:29.410. Nigel Melker nestelde zich op P15.
