Carlo van Dam krijgt test bij Comtec

De leider van het Duits Formule 3-kampioenschap Carlo van Dam krijgt later dit jaar een test bij het Britse team van Comtec Racing in de World Series van Renault. Dat onthulde de coureur uit Vlaardingen exclusief aan F1Today.nl.

Van Dam is momenteel erg succesvol in de ATS Formule 3-Cup in Duitsland en leidt het kampioenschap met 31 punten ten opzichte van zijn eerste concurrent Frederic Vervisch. Volgende week kan Van Dam het kampioenschap binnenhalen als het weekend op de Sachsenring goed verloopt.

Carlo van Dam vertelt aan F1Today.nl over de test met Comtec: "Ik krijg komende winter een testdag bij het Britse team van Comtec in de Renault World Series. Deze afspraak is al een tijd geleden gemaakt en ik kijk er erg naar uit, vooral omdat ik vorig jaar ook al eens in de World Series getest heb met Comtec. Ik was toen erg onder de indruk van de wagen en het is een mooie klasse voor een eventuele stap hogerop. Waar en wanneer de test plaats zal vinden is nog niet bekend."
