Filippi en Oriola met Seat Cupra in het WTCR

Campos Racing heeft het rijdersduo voor het komende World Touring Car Cup-seizoen bekendgemaakt. De Spaanse renstal heeft John Filippi en Pepe Oriola aangetrokken als coureurs. Dit tweetal zal in 2018 de twee Seat Cupra's van Campos Racing in het WTCR bemannen.

"Ik ben heel blij dat ik opnieuw voor Campos Racing mag gaan racen", vertelt Filippi. "Ik kijk echt uit naar de eerste rondjes met de nieuwe auto. Deelnemen aan dit kampioenschap zal waarschijnlijk een van de grootste uitdagingen van mijn carrière worden, maar het is een logische volgende stap voor mijn carrière."

Teamgenoot Oriola voegt toe: "Het gaat een lastig jaar worden, maar ook een jaar met veel voldoening. Ik ga proberen om het meeste van deze mogelijkheid te maken. Cupra heeft me altijd gesteund, daarvoor wil ik ze nu op de baan gaan terugbetalen."
